帝国理工学院EEE学科涵盖范围广,与周边学科交互性强,研究范围也涉及与通信,光学半导体材料,智能系统,控制,能源等领域。学院倡导理论研究和实践运用并重,但以学术研究见长,其研究实力可与剑桥媲美。学院与英国一些工业公司,科技公司建立了联合研究的项目,许多研究成果能顺利转化为商业价值,所以IC的EEE培养出来的研究生和博士生非常受工商业市场的青睐。
课程设置:专业方向多元化,理论见长
帝国理工学院电子工程专业研究生开放四个专业,分别是Analogue and Digital Integrated Circuit Design(模拟和数字集成电路设计),Communications and Signal Processing(通信与信号处理),Control Systems(控制系统)和Future Power Networks (未来电力网络)。其中未来电力网络是2015-2016年度新开设的专业。
1. Analogue and Digital Integrated Circuit Design
此专业涵盖模拟和数字电路的设计,重点集中在高频低压电路的设计和测试,关注电路在设备级别的设计和在系统级别的表现。
必修课4门:
l Analogue Integrated Circuits and Systems,
l Full-Custom Integrated Circuit Design,
l VHDL and Logic Synthesis,
l Analogue Signal Processing.
另外从以下课程中选4-5门作为选修:
l Digital Signal Processing ans Digital Filters
l Advanced Computer Architecture
l High Performance Analogue Electronics

2. Communications and Signal Processing
通信和信号处理,是现代信息工程的基础,广泛应用在电话,广播,计算机通信,音视频,雷达和声纳探测,医学成像,遥感等众多领域。
必修课4门:

l Probability and Stochastic Processes
l Spectrum Estimation and Adaptive Signal Processing

本专业涵盖现代控制理论的算法研究和数学建模。
学生需从core module核心课程选择4门作为必修。

此专业专注于电力网络的研究,分析,建模,控制和运行,以及未来清洁低碳电力网络的研究和规划。

每门课计分方式为coursework(40%)+ final(60%)。毕业要求为8门课,实验课和毕业设计全部pass。若选了9门课则只取分数最高的8门计入总成绩。
