　　Applications are invited for two full time tenure track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level.Areas of interest for the Department and for the position include host pathogen interactions especially individuals investigating molecular and/or cellular aspects of immunological processes; bacterial or viral pathogenesis; or cellular microbiology. Applicants must have a Ph.D, or MD/Ph.D. degree in immunological, microbiological or related biomedical sciences, strong publication record, an independent research program in the area that complements the focus of the Department. Preference will be given to individuals that have successfully received extramural funding.

　　The candidate will also be expected to actively collaborate with other faculty members, and interact with staff and students across campus. He/she will contribute to the mission of the Biomedical Sciences Department, will participate in teaching, and function as an active member of the Department, the Medical School and the University. The candidate will also participate in a nationally recognized patient-centered learning Medical School curriculum as well as teach in a graduate program that offers M.S., Ph.D. and M.D./Ph.D. degrees. The successful candidate will enjoy access to a modern animal facility, flow cytometry and cell sorter facility, computational biology network, bioinformatics, light, electron and confocal fluorescence microscopy facility, and a proteomics/mass spectrometry core facility.
