Job description
This is fixed term position until the end of October 2023
As part of the project ‘Recording impacts of invasive species through citizen science’ funded by NERC and in collaboration with the North Wales Wildlife Trust we are recruiting a postdoctoral research fellow. This is an exciting opportunity to get involved in a pilot study to develop and test field protocols as well as an app-based survey for citizen scientists to record impacts of invasive species. The work involves inputs in the design and testing of the recording protocols, the coordination of field work with local volunteer groups in Wales, and the organisation of a stakeholder workshop. The successful candidate should have a background in ecology/nature conservation and ideally in biological invasions. Experience working with audio-recording equipment and analysis of audio recordings are an advantage, but not essential.
